Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup chicken or chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cup shredded swiss cheese
1 1/2 cup shredded havarti cheese
1 cup shredded Colby cheese
1 tablespoon lemon juice
fresh cut fruits, vegetables, and breads
Preparation:
1. In large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
2. Add flour; cook and stir until bubbly, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Stir in chicken broth and cream and cook over medium heat until thickened.
4. Add cheeses, about 1 cup at a time, stirring constantly until melted and blended.
5. Cook for a few minutes until slightly thickened. You may need to add more cheeses to reach the desired consistency.
6. Stir in lemon juice until smooth.
7. Pour into heated fondue pot set over a candle or sterno.
