Pan-Fried Asparagus
Ingredients: 1/4 cup butter 2 tablespoon olive oil 1 teaspoon coarse salt 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 3 garlic cloves, minced 1 pound fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
Preparation: 1. Melt butter in skillet over medium-high heat. 2. Stir in the olive oil, pepper, and salt. 3. Cook garlic in butter for a minute, but do not brown. 4. Add asparagus and cook for ten minutes, turning asparagus to ensure even cooking.
